Lynn Wilson
Assistant Pastor
In September of 2005 Lynn was appointed to serve Trinity as a half-time Assistant Pastor. She grew up in a small mountain community called Chestnut Hill which is located across the river and up the mountain from Harpers Ferry, WV. She attended the Chestnut Hill United Methodist church where she was an active member of the Sunday School and youth group. At the age of 15 she was asked to be the youth representative to the Administrative Council and this is where she started her life’s journey of working in the church. As an adult she held the positions of Youth Group Leader, Coordinator of Youth, Sr. High Sunday School teacher, Director of Christmas Programs, Lay Leader and Lay member to the annual conference.
Lynn has been married to her husband Bill for 33 years. They have resided for the last 29 years in Shannondale which is about 8 miles from where they both lived as children. Bill is retired and works as a volunteer part-time pastor for a small independent Baptist church. They are the proud parents of 3 children, Tai, Lea and Matthew, and equally proud grandparents of ten wonderful grandchildren ranging in age from 19 years to 10 months.
Before answering God’s call to serve in ministry Lynn’s life experience taught her much about loving and caring for others. Various employments range from nursing assistant in an elder care facility to an administrative assistant in Loudoun Hospital Center.
Lynn is a licensed Local Pastor in the Baltimore Washington Conference. She is currently preparing for her third year of studies at Wesley Seminary where she has completed 2 of the 5 years required for her to become an Associate member of the annual conference. She is also continuing to work on an Associate Degree with the emphasis of her study being done in the areas of psychology, sociology and social work.
Lynn says that her goal is to serve God in the way and where God leads her. One of her favorite Bible verses is from Timothy 6:6, “There is great gain in godliness combined with contentment.” Being content in the Lord is what makes her smile.

Jim Dent
Director of Music
I grew up in Temple Hills and Accokeek, Maryland, with three other siblings and lots of music in our home. My father was an accomplished accordionist and mandolinist. He taught all of us the accordion. It seemed to have stuck with me, the youngest. I went on play the organ at age 12 in the Lutheran Church. Then, I accompanied with piano/organ and sang with the high school and college choirs.
I attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music, in 1974, and then moved to Oral Roberts University in 1976 to pursue a music degree in sacred music. For the past thirty years I have served at various churches as music director to include choirs of all ages, praise bands, and as organ/piano accompanist. I began the orchestra and the contemporary choir, “Living Waters”, at Middletown United Methodist Church. The church orchestra grew over eight years to about 30 members and supported the church’s choirs for major cantatas.
I married my wife, Josette, in 1982 and began a career as a registered nurse. We have five children, ages 12 to 25, and have resided in Middletown for the past 18 years. Currently, I am also employed as a clinical manager at Montgomery Hospice in Rockville.
